PvE combat in Last Asylum: Plague includes campaign stages, monsters, event bosses, and other AI-controlled challenges. These battles provide resources, upgrade materials, and progression rewards, making a dependable PvE team one of the most valuable investments on your account.
Unlike PvP, enemy behavior is generally predictable. This allows you to build repeatable formations around damage, survival, and reliable skill rotations.

Understanding PvE Formations
Frontline: Two Heroes
Your frontline absorbs enemy pressure and keeps the backline alive. Use durable Tanks, defensive Supports, or heroes with shields, healing, control, or damage reduction.
A weak frontline causes your damage dealers to fall before they complete enough skill rotations.
Backline: Three Heroes
The backline normally contains your primary DPS, a secondary damage dealer or amplifier, and a Support. Their job is to eliminate enemies efficiently while benefiting from frontline protection.

PvE Upgrade Strategy
1. Focus on One Core Team
Dividing resources among too many heroes slows progression. Finish the important levels, stars, skills, and gear on your primary formation before developing multiple secondary teams.
2. Upgrade Your Main DPS First
Your carry should receive the strongest offensive gear and most important skill upgrades. Faster enemy elimination often reduces damage taken more effectively than small defensive gains.
3. Maintain the Frontline
Do not let your Tanks fall too far behind. Upgrade their health, defense, shields, and damage-reduction skills enough to survive the full encounter.
4. Improve Account-Wide Power
Hero Gear, Epigraphs, Research, Hero Statues, and Raven bonuses all contribute to PvE performance. Keep these systems moving alongside hero development.
Early-Game Hero Transitions
Using lower-tier heroes early is normal. Invest only enough to continue progressing, then replace temporary heroes when stronger and more sustainable options become available.
- Use accessible heroes to complete a functional five-hero formation.
